Presentation

The Château d'Azay-le-Rideau, built in the heart of Touraine during the reign of Francis I, offers all the charm of the Renaissance. 

A masterpiece of 16th century architecture, it stands on an island shaped by the Indre River, and is surrounded by 19th century landscaped grounds. The château boasts a prestigious historic decor retracing 4 centuries of history, as well as sumptuous collections of objects, tapestries and furniture.
