Come and dance to the sounds of the Renaissance at the château for an exceptional evening.

    Under-18s: free

  • Costume hire in partnership with the Louis XII Association. Costumes can be hired on site from 7.15pm or pre-booked online (bookings open in June).
    Wearing the costume is not compulsory.

Let's dance in the enchanting setting of the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau! For one evening, Le Banquet du Roy invites you to reconnect with this emblematic passion of the 16th century: the Renaissance ball. Open to all and guided by a dancing master, this festive and participatory event invites you, whatever your level, to try your hand at pavanes, branles and allemandes. As you dance along, you'll discover the pleasure of moving together, carried by the same pulse and the energy of the collective.
