presentation
New script, new sets! After the success of the 2025 edition, the actors of the Théâtre des Minuits and some 200 volunteers return to the château this summer to plunge you into a new edition of the "Conjuration d'Azay". An immersive show par excellence, the actors will take you right to the heart of the plot.
The year is 1626. The kingdom of France is weakened by the absence of an heir. Gaston de France, brother of the king Louis XIII, covets the throne and opposes the growing authority of Cardinal de Richelieu. Manipulated by the Duchess of Chevreuse, he becomes embroiled in a conspiracy against the Cardinal and the King.
Taking refuge in Azay-le-Rideau, Gaston tries to forget the political tensions by indulging in sumptuous festivities, while Louis XIII secretly sends his mother, Marie de Médicis, and Richelieu to try to bring the young prince to his senses.
Beneath the masks and the baroque music, the threat persists: is the conspiracy really over, or is an assassin hiding among the dancers?
you don't speak french?
Special slots have been set aside for visitors who don't speck French.
On each day of the show, whisperers will narrate the scenes and dialogue in English and Spanish using audiophones.
In English: at 7.10pm and 9.10pm
