the orchestra of the new world
Born a few years ago out of a unanimous need to give meaning to musical practice, the Orchestre du Nouveau Monde is the first orchestra in France committed to social and climate justice.
The orchestra brings together around a hundred young graduates from regional and national conservatories. It is driven by one mission: to raise awareness among a broad public through music.
Through its performances, the Orchestre du Nouveau Monde proposes a form of militant discourse in which art becomes the sounding board for a committed message.
Through its various artistic and educational projects (concerts, artistic collaborations, interventions in schools, conferences, awareness-raising videos, etc.), it aims to trigger reflection, encourage action and help build a common movement of hope and ambition.
Time for exchanges between the musicians and the audience will punctuate the performance.
Program :
- 4th movement, 2nd symphony, Emilie Mayer
- Cantata Hiroshima. Accompanied by the ad libitum choir
- Orchestrated reworking of Claude Nougaro's "Assez". Accompanied by the ad libitum choir
- 1st and 4th movements, 9th Symphony, Antonin Dvorak
- Ode to Joy, Beethoven's 9th Symphony. Accompanied by the ad libitum choir
The Orchestre du Nouveau Monde will be accompanied by the ad libitum choir from Cheillé, a neighboring village to Azay-le-Rideau.
